Why can’t I gift an in-app purchase such as "Family Guy" clams or "Simpson’s Tapped Out" diamonds to another iTunes and App Store member?   Kindly add this functionality, which would be superior to iTunes Gift Cards in many instances.

iTunes Gift Cards are a great feature offered by Apple to its customers.  Thank you Apple for that offering!

However, allowing customers to gift in-app purchases to loved ones and friends just might be a superior alternative in instances where ease of use and the costs of in-app purchases do not seem to align well with using iTunes Gift Cards.

Gifting in-app purchases should be simple and easy for both the giver and the recipient of such gifts.

Isn’t ease of use a hallmark of the Apple experience?

Note to developers:  Yes, there still is a great big market that remains untapped in the App Store economy!
